| Rhampholeon kerstenii |
Growing an average 77mm at maturity, the Dwarf Chameleon is quite small. The Dwarf Chameleon is perhaps most easily recognized by his lack of a prehensile tail. They will usually have white and brown patterns, which run the length of the chameleon. This chameleon is often described as leaf shaped. Males and females are not visibly distinguishable.
When compared to other chameleons, this species is relatively easy to care for. One of the most important things when setting up an enclosure is a well planted terrarium with lots of dead leaf litter on the bottom of the tank. As is true with other chameleons, the males are very territorial, so two males should not be kept together. |
