Indian Star Tortoise is striking when held in hand. It has radiating "star" patterns about it's carapace. It has a very high domed shell containing natural "pyramids".

The Indian Star tortoise is found throughout dray areas and scrub forest in India and Sri Lanka. It is also found in some regions featuring a higher level of precipitation. Not surprisingly, given its propensity for grassland habitats it grazes extensively upon mixed grasses. It also favours the fruit and pads of the prickly pear, succulents and thistles.

I've probably driven these people totally nuts while I was deciding on which ones & how many (got a breeding pair of Marbled & a breeding pair of Flying Geckos), but they never once let on how "dumb" I was being. I loved working with them and my babies arrived, safe/sound/active/alert and very healthy. I'm looking forward to dealing with them again in the future!
